Level of Diving
Diving will be in warm water off of a liveaboard dive boat. Water temperatures range from 76F-85. Minimum 3mm wetsuit is recommended as you will be doing 3-5 dives per day. Diving level should be Advanced Open Water with at least 30 recent dives including Deep Diver certification. Many dive sites are drift dives.
Destination
Palau consists of over 350 islands lying within the Eastern Caroline Islands. The islands are composed mainly of volcanic material and limestone.
The underwater world of Palau is breathtaking with a seemingly endless blanket of healthy, majestic coral. It is known as one of the top dive destinations in the world. Palau’s underwater world is blessed with over 300 species of corals, 1400 species of reef fish, and 7 out of 9 of the world’s species of giant clams.
With many dives being drift dives, you can drift along and see plenty of sharks, mantas, reef fish and even some wrecks. Or stop along the way with a reef hook and just hang out for a while watching the marine life go by. Diving this time of year is usually with calm water and 40+ft visibility.
Palau Siren
The Palau Siren liveaboard is handcrafted in Indonesia from ironwood and teak, built by divers for divers. Total of 16 passengers with 8 double occupancy cabins with air-co, ensuite bathrooms, and hot water. Spacious dive deck with gear rinse areas and on-deck shower. Camera recharge and prep area.
Enjoy being pampered while liveaboard diving. The meals are amazing and usually very accommodating for any diet or allergy restrictions. The accommodations are comfortable and relaxing. A liveaboard trip is a great way to get a lot of diving experience in a short timeframe.
