NOTE: Online training for any SDI specialty courses are intended to replace the equivalent SDI paper manual. You are still required to satisfactorily complete all requirements for the course including any classroom, pool, and/or open water training required for certification in that course.
The SDI Solo Diving online course is an assistant to the SDI Solo Diving certification course. By signing up for this course, the perspective student will be taught the various skills encompassing the need for self-reliance and self-rescue. Detailed throughout the online manual, a diver will be given an in-depth knowledge of thinking and acting outside the buddy system, dealing with gas and equipment issues, dealing with diver emergencies, any special gear that may be needed, as well as planning the "perfect" dive.
You will work through the various chapters online, and each chapter will end with a short knowledge quiz. There will be a final exam at the end of the course.
You will have access to your online profile and all online training purchases for future reference and review.
