Specialty Diver Courses

sdi-banner.jpg

The SDI Specialties courses are designed to offer certified divers a wide range of skill development and unique diving experiences. Each specialty course will be different in regards to pre-requisites and certification requirements. Some are strictly classroom training while others include pool training and open water training.

As a new diver, you may not know what type of diving you are interested in and will most likely still be trying to figure out your basic buoyancy and breathing skills. Our recommendation is to go diving! Get out into the open water and get a few dives in before moving on to more advanced training.

Once you have some dive experience and decide to challenge your skills with some specialty courses, you will have more confidence and a higher level of competency with the basic diving skills to allow you to learn and retain the advanced skills you are learning.

Still not sure what specialty courses you are interested in? Stop by the store and talk to one of our experienced dive instructors or divemasters, they will be able to give you an idea of the things you'll learn in each course and help steer you in a meaningful direction.
